The Instagram Subscription feature is soon going to knock on the app, in which users will have to take a monthly subscription and then they will be able to access the content.
Highlights
- Monthly subscription will have to be taken on Instagram
- A fixed amount will have to be paid every month
- New feature may come soon in the app
Ten creators, including basketball player Sedona Prince, Olympian Jordan Chile and astrologer Aliza Kelly, have been made part of the preliminary round of testing. Followers will have to take a monthly subscription to view content from the creators they follow. Subscribers will also receive a purple badge by their username indicating their status to the creator. Let us tell you that users will have to spend from $0.99 to $99.99 per month to subscribe to the creators. Creators will be able to choose for themselves the amount they need to access their content. This amount can be between $0.99 to $99.99 and not more.
Once subscribed, users will previously be able to view only subscription-only content such as stories or highlights. They will be sent an alert for the exclusive live where they will be able to engage more deeply with the creators.
Instagram has been working on this flagship feature for some time now to help influencers earn money through their work on their platform and exit content creation jobs.
