Nowadays the trend of smartwatches or smartbands has increased a lot. People have become very dependent on them for their fitness. As we all know that almost all smartwatches and bands are equipped with heart rate sensors. Everyone feels that such trackers help a lot. But what happens many times is that the heart rate sensor is fake in such watches. Can you guarantee that the heart rate monitor on your fitness tracker is working properly? Or is it fake? So let's know whether your smartwatch or fitness band is real or fake.

These tips will come in handy:1) What happens at times is that the normal smartwatch or smart band OEMs put a fake heart sensor in their product and sell it like that. If you want to find out, then let us tell you that the real heart rate has at least two LEDs. One of these is green and the other is infrared (IR) light. A sensor is present in between them. If your smartwatch or band has only two LEDs without any sensor, then the OEM has used a normal LED light. It copies a photoelectric heart rate sensor.

2) While wearing a smartwatch or band, heart rate fluctuations should be checked during exercise. This lets you know whether your smartwatch or fitness band has a fake heart rate sensor. You have to check whether this sensor is fluctuating during exercise or not. Normal heart rate ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute. When you run or workout, the heart rate goes up or down or increases the heart rate from 110 to 140. Therefore, wear such a watch or band and run for at least five minutes. If the reading looks normal, then the sensor installed in it will be fake.
3) Heart rate sensor needs to be checked with pulse oximeter. You can check the accuracy of the heart rate monitor on your smartwatch or fitness band. Use a pulse oximeter for this. All you have to do is wear the watch or band and turn on the heart rate monitor. Then compare the data. It is very important to have the readings more or less equal except for a difference of a few points. This is an indication that the smartwatch or band will have the correct heart rate. If the data shown on the watch is completely different, then understand that this sensor is fake.
